​Nestled in the beautiful countryside. You will find peace and relaxation at the quilting venue. So much room to spread out and create your masterpiece. The facility is bright and comfortable with all the light you need. Bedrooms and bathrooms are a joy as well. The kitchen is fully supplied and spacious for retreat spreads. ​It is a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere with great Hosts! They have a wonderful space to work or play. The sleeping arrangements are very comfortable with attached baths. We already booked our next retreat. If you have a group that would like to get away for a while, this is the place to go. I highly recommend it. ~ Sandra
​I have attended two quilt retreats at Pine Needles and found it to be very accommodating. Dean and Lisa have thought of everything! The kitchen is fully equipped, very clean and very spacious. The work area is also spacious and includes cutting table, big ironing boards with great irons, portable design walls, plenty of table space for sewing stations - with electric extension cords that are dropped from above - over each work area. The bedrooms have beautiful handmade quilts on the beds. The bathrooms, between the bedrooms, are set up to accommodate 6 people. They are nice with plenty of counter space and drawers for all who share them. The setting of the event center, beneath the pine trees, is just beautiful and relaxing. I highly recommend Pine Needles for quilt retreats, wedding, family reunions or whatever your event might be. I can't wait to go back! ~ Anne
Pine Needles event center, located 20 minutes south of College Station, just opened this past summer. It is such a great set up, our quilting group has already had two retreats here and booked three more for 2025!
Everything about the layout and design was well thought out beginning with the large covered entry. The weather won't affect your unloading! Once inside, the fully equipped kitchen has everything you will need to prepare your own meals. And the butler's pantry, with a second refrigerator and stand alone ice maker, ensure you will have plenty of space to store all your snacks and beverages while never running out of ice. A comfortable sitting area with a large TV is a part of the large space so no one is left out while enjoying their morning coffee, afternoon cocktail, or sewing away on their latest creation. Walls of natural light bookend the spacious spacious room which contains more than enough dropdown electric outlets to accommodate our 18 quilters. Irons and big boards are provided as well as cutting tables and quilting rulers.
The six themed bedrooms each have three twin beds, each with their own unique quilt. Every bedroom has its own AC and heating unit, so everyone can sleep comfortably. Two of the bedrooms have en-suite baths, while Jack-and-Jill baths serve the other four.
If you are in need of a little fresh air, there is a large groomed space out back to sit and enjoy nature.
